LATEST UPDATE ON HELL’S DRIFTER

Shooting is still continuing on the Hell’s Drifter production, starring Noel Aungier, Siobhan Lam and Austin Prior, despite having been scheduled to wrap in late February.

“The weather wreaked its havoc earllier in the year, to put it mildly,” says Writer/Producer/ Director Peter Bergin.  “It knocked us back by a substantial margin.  We just happened to be commencing shooting in early December at the same time the country was starting to be hit by almost two months of virtually non-stop storm conditions.  This didn’t bode well for a production, ninety per cent of which takes place outdoors.  It actually ended up shutting us down on more than one occasion, forcing us to pick up where we left off a lot later.  But things have calmed down since then, so presently we're trying to make up for lost time.”

With the Hell’s Drifter production now firmly back on course, is there any indication of a finish date?  “Well, as we are running behind, I don’t foresee us wrapping up any time before May,” Peter says.  “But the morale of the cast and crew is very high and I’m getting very strong performances.  We know the end result is going to be something special, so we’re all prepared for a long haul if need be."

He adds: "Plus, I'm editing it as I shoot, so it's a great incentive, especially for the cast, when you're able to show them an edited version - even though it's rough - of something that was shot a few days before.”
