COMPROMISED UPDATE
Currently Compromised is in the final stages of pre-production. Location scouting is almost complete and the final hurdle being the complex task of casting this complicated tale. Continues Producer/Writer/Director Malcolm Deegan, “Casting is going to be the final and biggest hurdle we will have to face and this casting date will be announced very soon. The roles themselves are challenging with complicated backgrounds and intriguing back stories.”

How long will shooting take once principal photography commences?
As with every shoot there has to be a certain margin for error but what we are aiming for is principal photography to take place over three gruelling weeks for 5 to 6 days a week. I am anticipating a tough but fun shoot. It won’t be one for the faint hearted or those not committed to their craft... from there down to the difficult task of editing, final mix, score and release.
What Genre do you see “Compromised” fitting into?
I see the film more as a thriller with a mystery embedded within the subtext. It is more than the simple parts that I have given in the basic synopsis. Far more complicated with deeper and richer characterisations. Although it does have an action and suspense element to it is the characters themselves that create the tension and drive the piece. I am anticipating a fast paced thrill ride that will keep you captivated.
Should the actors seeking roles on “Compromised” have any particular background/traits?
The main traits I look for in actors besides being suitable for the role at hand is their passion. Will they be committed to a role that will invariably take them time and persistence to master? If they can answer yes to that then they would be perfect for the role. The key here is going to be believability... can you make me believe that you are not acting the role but truly living it in that moment”
Where do you see 'Compromised' being released after it’s completed?
At the very least I would hope for a DVD release but I am not at this point ruling out a cinematic run, as I believe the story would suit the big screen.
Have you anything final to add in relation to “compromised”?
I’m very much looking forward to the shoot, getting back into the saddle once again directing and trying to faithfully bring to life what I’ve put onto paper. Although maybe ask me that question again when I’m knee deep in editing and I may have a different slant on it (Laughs loudly). But seriously I hope the picture turns out half as good as it is in my mind and that everyone involved has fun and the audience enjoy it.
It’s a new year for totality pictures. What are your plans after “Compromised” is shot? Have you any new projects in the pipeline for this year and beyond?
It’s been a good year so far we have finished principal photography on Hell’s Drifter and we are very excited about its completion. Currently, the scoring and final mix is in full swing, so a test audience and press viewing will not be far away now, which is great.
We have a number of different feature projects in the Totality Pictures vault. What’s up next for me after “Compromised” may be a feature film called THE FALLEN, a film about a bomb disposal expert framed for a murder that she may or may not have committed. But it is early days yet on that front, so I’m sure there will be many updates further down the line concerning that.
Also our long awaited feature film called “Panic Attack” will be going into pre-production but with a slightly modified storyline, which is as good if not better than the original. We are also toying with the idea of doing a fortnightly podcast and possibly one or two video podcasts but this too is in early pre-production. So all in all the things look bright for the future of Totality Pictures. We envision us going from strength to strength over the next year and beyond. We look forward to sharing our stories on a wider scale in the future so we will keep you posted about that.
